Piezo Nose Job (Rhinoplasty)

Sometimes called “nose job” or “nose reshaping” by patients, rhinoplasty improves face fit and proportions of your nose.

BEFORE & AFTER

Piezo Nose Job (Rhinoplasty)

Rhinoplasty is an operation to reshape or reposition the bones of the nose. Piezo nose job (Rhinoplasty) is a new type of rhinoplasty surgery that uses new techniques to do some nose surgeries. Soft tissue and nerve damage is less likely with Piezo method. This innovative approach minimizes tissue and neural injury to the nose. While doing this, maximum results are aimed with minimum cut. Thanks to Piezo, surgery can be more accurate and faster. The surgery takes place under the control of specialist surgeons. Thanks to our innovative approaches, our specialists have more precisionin their practice. Because of its minimal modification, patients can recover faster and more comfortably.

Why Piezo Nose Job (Rhinoplasty) is Popular

Modern preventive rhinoplasty focuses on tissue remodeling rather than the severe displacement of tissue that was the norm in older methods. Piezo nose job (Rhinoplasty) is used to reconstruct the bone without breaking it. This is a gentler method that allows the surgeon to be more precise in their work. However, there may be no bruising or swelling in some situations, while others may have minor bruising. On the other hand, these are complaints that are rarely seen in the Piezo method. While there are setbacks such as using less-than-fine instruments and breaking the nasal bone in normal nose surgeries, the piezo method guarantees you a safe operation.

Recovery after Piezo Nose Job (Rhinoplasty)

Getting a nose operation scares a lot of people, since they believe the recovery time would be unpleasant and long. However, there is little or no discomfort after Piezo nose job (Rhinoplasty). Our center meets the international standards when it comes to health and safety. As a result, all side effects are also greatly reduced thanks to our careful approach. There is usually little or no bruising afterwards.

What Is Nose Job (Rhinoplasty)?

Sometimes called “nose job” or “nose reshaping” by patients, rhinoplasty improves face fit and proportions of your nose. It can also correct breathing problems caused by structural problems in the nose.
Nose size, nasal width, nasal tip reshaping, nostrils reshaping and asymmetry are some of the disturbances that can be fixed during nose job surgery in harmony with the facial characteristics.
If you want a more symmetrical nose, remember that everyone’s face is somewhat asymmetrical. While the goal is to create complete face balance and correct proportion, the results may not be completely symmetrical.

What is piezo surgery?

Piezo surgery was developed by Italian surgeons in the 1980s, it is a revolutionary method among bone cutting and shaping techniques. The underlying mechanism of piezo surgery is the cutting or shaping of bones with 3-dimensional sound vibrations. In the world, this method is frequently applied by neurosurgeons, hand surgeons, orthopedics surgery, maxillofacial surgery and dentists in the intervention of bones. In our country, Turkey, this method is mostly used by dentists and maxillofacial surgeons and I can say that as Baris Yigit Clinic, we are one of the few clinics which uses it in nose job.

What is the advantage of piezo nose job when compared to other methods?

Reshaping the nasal bones are most commonly performed today with instruments called osteotomes. The most widespread problems after bone reshaping with these instruments are swelling, bruises and unwanted fracture lines around eyes.

In piezo surgery, we almost do not encounter bruises around the eyes that patients are pre-operatively worried about. In addition to this, because we can cut (not break) the nose bones in a controlled manner with Piezo, unwanted fracture lines are not formed so we can shape the bones as we want.

What causes no bruising in piezo surgery:

Cutting and shaping during the procedure only takes place in the bone tissue which is the only concern in piezo surgery. Because there is no damage to soft tissue or vessels, bleeding is minimum. Since there is no soft tissue and vascular damage, postoperative bruising and swelling is little. The patient can return to her / his daily life immediately.
The advantages of piezo surgery are as follows;
– Quick healing, fast recovery and quickly back to daily life.
– There is almost no bruise and swelling.
– To be able to make cuts from desired lines and to shape bones easily.

How about recovery?

At the end of the operation a splint can be placed inside your nose and a splint or bandage can be placed outside to support and maintain new structures during initial healing.

While the initial swelling subsides within a few weeks, it may take up to a year for your new nose contour to fully seat. During this time, you may see gradual changes in the appearance of your nose. During the first year following your rhinoplasty surgery, swelling in the morning may deteriorate.

In the first visit, which will be at our clinic, splints on the nose and inside of the nose will be removed and supportive bandages will be applied on your nose.
During the postoperative period, we will ask you not to lay on your sides and wear glasses for 3 months.
