What is Aesthetic Buttock Surgery (BBL)?

First of all, I would like to start by explaining what BBL is. I am sure you see these 3 letters everywhere, especially on social media. It stands for Brazilian Butt Lift in other words Brazilian-style buttocks lifting surgery. 

When I say aesthetic hip surgery, I am talking about giving volume to it or lifting it to be more projected and defined. This completely depends on the patient’s body structure. 

I am performing this surgery with the help of a silicone implant(A) or fat injection (B) which is harvested from other body parts, especially the belly and waists. Sometimes I need to perform both.

If I use an implant, I place it to the proper area of buttock the muscle by making a 4 to 5-centimeter cut on both sides of the buttock groove which will be hidden. 

In addition to this, as I said, I may perform a fat injection to reach the desired appearance.

I would like to mention a certain group of patients here. Post-bariatric patients who lose weight with obesity surgery or diet may experience buttock bagginess. I perform butt lift surgery for this special group of patients. This surgery leaves a scar on your back above your buttocks but will be hidden under your underwear. In some cases, additional fat injections are needed to make the buttocks more prominent.  

You will wear a garment for approximately 2 to 3 weeks after silicone implant surgery. But I am not applying the same for fat injections. 

The operation takes between 2 to 5 hours, depending on the single or combination of the procedures. I want you to stay at the hospital for the first night for your comfort and health.
